2021 Hazelnut Harvest

Dear HGO Co-op and Cash Growers,

The 2021 hazelnut harvest is approaching rapidly and the wash plants and receiving stations are getting ready to receive your crop.
For those of you that grow hazelnuts for Hazelnut Growers of Oregon, we have a few changes to our wash plant/receiving station lineup. Pierce Receiving Station in Newberg will no longer be washing and drying for HGO. With that being said, we are adding two new wash stations for the 2021 harvest. The first is Ruef Brothers, LLC located in Mt. Angel and the second is Missouri Ridge, located near Marquam. We are excited to add these two new wash plants/receiving stations to the HGO family.

In the following pages you will find a list of all HGO’s wash plants and receiving stations. A description of each location will showcase the history, capabilities, contact information, and any other pertinent information our growers need to make an informed decision on where to have their crop washed and dried.

We have established relationships with each location and work with each wash plant/receiving station to guarantee the best nut quality for HGO to sell into our distinct markets and retail locations. Food safety remains a top priority for HGO and our growers. Recently the HGO facility in Donald passed an unannounced SQF audit. This type of audit occurs every three years. The operations and quality assurance team received a rating of “excellent” and the highest score possible in the SQF system.

We are excited and ready to receive the 2021 crop. We look forward to working with our growers and wash plant/receiving stations this
season. Your continued support is appreciated and does not go unnoticed. Our goal is to maximize returns to our growers and sell
the best quality hazelnuts in the Willamette Valley.

Cheers to a bountiful and successful 2021 harvest season.
